716 Patriots Travel Baseball
The 716 Patriots Travel Baseball program was created to provide a higher level of competition for talented and motivated baseball players with a commitment to the improvement of their skills in a team focused environment. Teams will work hard to win games, but winning will never become more important than teamwork and good sportsmanship. The Patriots will ask players to work toward progress and excellence, not perfection. Baseball is a fun and challenging game that requires players to develop ability to overcome mistakes and to look forward to their next opportunity. Ultimately, the development of skills through proper mechanics and team focused play will be the guideline for our program, which we believe will create better baseball players and better young men.
Objectives:
Meet every individual player where they are at, and build a plan to help them improve as a player.
Instruct baseball skills in 1:1, small group, team and organizational settings.
Use positive outlook and feedback in instruction, as that is the most effective way to ensure learning and progress.
Provide year round opportunities to maximize player experience.
Provide a memorable experience for players and families.
Provide high quality facilities and equipment.
Create a family environment amongst each team and across the organization.
Expectations:
Attend at least one practice/clinic weekly.
Arrive on time for all practices and games, ready to work.
Be humble and hungry, good sportsmanship is paramount as is the desire to always improve.
Be an excellent teammate and role model to all players in the organization.
Rise up to remain a positive part of the team at all times, especially when there is a struggle.
Understand that a negative mindset will never better a player or person.
Always bring their best effort, attitude and focus to each practice, game and team event.
